We offer Godly Play for 1st through 6th grade from 9:00am till 10:00am, and for 3 year-olds (who are ready) through Kindergartners from 10:15 till 11 during the school year.

Faith Formation Summit.

Colorado will be hosting a national faith formation training event for the Episcopal Church (sponsored by Province VI). There will be a gathering of Episcopalians who work with children and youth to worship, learn, and grow together. Planned opportunities: Godly Play Training, Peer Ministry Training, Youth Ministry Training, Children’s Ministry Training, and more! Plan to be at this unique large-scale event.

Godly Play Ten Best Ways for Parents

We are using a program called Godly Play for children from the ages of 3 to 12. The following description is from the website, http://www.faith-at-home.com/godly-play.html ,

 “Godly play is a term coined by Jerome Berryman to describe an approach to children's spiritual formation that is based on creating a sacred space in which to present the stories of our faith, wonder about them together, and then allow the children open-ended opportunities, usually with art supplies, to engage the story on their own terms.”

The Sunday school hour is between the services, so that Sunday school for children will be at the same time as adult forum. If you have any thoughts about this, or feel called to teach children or middle school or high school, please contact me or the parish.

The Dioceses requires that all laity and clergy working with children and youth take a child abuse prevention training called “Safeguarding God's Children”.
